Offering Face to Face, Online or Telephone sessions.

Hi I’m Carol, a compassionate, non-judgmental qualified integrative counsellor underpinned with a client centred approach.

This means that I will provide you with a space for you to explore your issues which has led you to counselling. This will happen at your pace, be led by you, and content that feels comfortable to you. I will listen to your concerns and work with you to understand you in a way that you can move forward to facilitate change in your life. Where appropriate, I can provide you with tools and techniques to support you on your journey.

As a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP), and an accredited member with the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Service (NCPS), both of which are members of Professional Standards Agency, I adhere to the professional and ethical standards of these membership bodies.

I have experience and work with both adults and children.

There are many reasons for considering counselling.

It can be a valuable support for managing mental health concerns, improving relationships, addressing trauma including historic childhood trauma, managing stress, anxiety, depression and improving self-esteem. By working with a trained therapist, individuals can gain insight into their lives helping to understand their past, their present, and how to move forward positively and confidently into their future.

Sometimes you may just feel “stuck” and that’s ok, working together can help to identify the cause and help you move through to find your path again.

Meeting with your therapist for the first time can be a rather daunting experience. I will do everything I can to make our first session as relaxed as possible.

I use an integrative approach to counselling and therefore my approach to support you may come from different therapeutic theories depending on the issues you bring to your session.

Our time together is your space to explore your issues, sessions will be led by you, however on occasion I may use the information you tell me to compassionately guide you through a process of self-discovery.

To ensure you get the best experience and support, we will review our sessions throughout the term of our agreement, this may be through conversation or alternatively through short questionnaire assessments.

I offer face to face counselling from a comfortable space in Chester city centre. However, I recognise that face to face may not be suitable for everyone, therefore, alternatively I can offer online or telephone counselling. Please contact me to discuss these options, or to book a session.

As I mention above, there are many reasons that may have brought you to counselling.
